Why people call
Outside the Marketplace
These plans are not HealthCare.gov applications. A premium tax credit is a Marketplace question. We will not guess one for a private plan.
We name the kind of plan
Major medical, a short-term plan, and other contracts follow different rules. We say which one a quote is before you apply.
A free consultation
You do not pay this office to compare. You decide whether to apply.
How private coverage differs
Marketplace plans follow ACA rules, including how they treat pre-existing conditions. A private plan off the Marketplace may ask health questions, may exclude a condition, or may last only a set number of months. Short-term coverage is not the same as major medical. We will say that in plain words if a quote is short-term.
If you want to see Marketplace options and possible financial help, use the ACA page. If you are eligible for Medicare, use the Medicare page. Private health is not a Medicare supplement and it is not a replacement for Medicare.
Call or text (321) 429-1182. Bring who needs coverage, the ZIP code, and whether you were turned down or priced out of a Marketplace plan. We will not invent a carrier list on this page.
A consultation with this office is free. Nothing on this page is a binder of coverage.
Questions people ask
Is private health the same as an ACA plan?
No. ACA Marketplace plans are bought through HealthCare.gov in Florida. Private plans on this page are outside that marketplace. The rules on pre-existing conditions, benefits, and how long the plan lasts can be different. We identify which contract you are looking at.
Can I get a subsidy on a private plan?
Premium tax credits are tied to Marketplace coverage. Do not assume a private plan qualifies. We will not estimate a credit for an off-marketplace policy on this page.
Will you ask about my health?
If the plan is medically underwritten, yes. Some people are declined or are offered a plan that excludes a condition. We would rather tell you that before you cancel other coverage.
What is short-term health insurance?
A policy that lasts a limited time and is not ACA major medical. It can exclude pre-existing conditions and can leave out benefits a Marketplace plan must include. If we quote one, we will call it short-term. It is not a full replacement for a Marketplace plan.
I was declined by a carrier. Can you still help?
We can see what else is available for your ZIP code and health history. We cannot promise another carrier will say yes. Bring the decline notice if you have it.
Does this replace Medicare?
No. If you have Medicare, do not drop it for a private health plan without a conversation about the timing. Use the Medicare page for Medicare questions. This page does not describe Medicare benefits.
Do you publish premiums?
No. Private premiums depend on age, ZIP code, health, and the plan. We show you a quote. We do not call a plan free.
Is the consultation free?
Yes. There is no fee to review options with this office. Enrolling is your decision, and the carrier still has to accept the application when underwriting applies.
