Final expense
Final expense insurance in Palm Bay
Final expense is a smaller permanent life policy people often buy to help with funeral and last bills. It is life insurance. It is not Medicare, and it is not a health plan.

Why people call
A smaller permanent policy
The death benefit is usually meant for funeral costs and small final bills, not to replace a household income for 20 years.
Health questions vary
Some applications ask a short list of health questions. Some pay a full benefit only after a waiting period. We name which one a quote is.
No prices on this page
Age and health change the premium. We will not print a sample monthly cost.
What this policy does
The beneficiary can use the death benefit for a funeral, a burial, or other bills. The insurance company pays the beneficiary, not the funeral home, unless you assign it that way. We will not tell you a policy covers a specific funeral package.
Some final expense policies pay the full death benefit from the first day if the carrier accepts you at that rate class. Others, often called graded or modified, pay a limited amount if death occurs in the first years, except for an accident. We will say which kind a quote is before you apply. We will not promise that every person is approved, and we will not promise that every policy skips health questions.
This is not a Medicare plan and it does not pay doctor bills. If you are comparing Medicare, use the Medicare page for that. For a final expense quote, call or text (321) 429-1182.
A free quote is not a policy. Nothing on this page is a binder of coverage.
Questions people ask
Is final expense the same as burial insurance?
People use both names for a small whole life policy meant to help with funeral costs. The contract is life insurance. Read the amount and who gets paid. A funeral home’s price list is a separate document.
Will any health history be accepted?
No. Carriers decline some applications. Some policies ask fewer health questions and, in return, limit the benefit in the first years. We will tell you if a quote has that limit. We do not advertise guaranteed approval.
Does it pay the full amount right away?
Only if that is what the policy says. A graded benefit can pay less than the full amount if death happens in the early years, with a different rule if the death is accidental. We point at that schedule before you pay a premium.
How much coverage do people ask for?
Enough, in their judgment, for the funeral and a few last bills. We do not publish a recommended dollar amount. Funeral costs in Brevard County vary. Bring a figure you are comfortable with and we will see which carriers will quote it.
Can I name a family member as beneficiary?
Yes. Name the person who should receive the money, and a backup if you can. You can often change the beneficiary later. We do not require the beneficiary to be a funeral home.
Is this a Medicare benefit?
No. Medicare does not sell this policy, and this policy does not pay Medicare costs. If you want to talk about Medicare Advantage, a supplement, or Part D, that is a different appointment.
I already have life insurance. Do I need this too?
Maybe not. If a term or whole life policy already covers funeral costs, a second policy can be extra premium. Bring what you own. We will not add a policy just to add one.
Is the quote free?
Yes. There is no fee for the conversation. Coverage starts only if a carrier approves the application and the premium is paid.
